Partner integration

Nector + Consequential

A smarter growth loop for Shopify brands. Nector supplies the loyalty and reward layer. Consequential surfaces the acquisition signals that show when customers need re-engagement.

Why this integration matters

Most ecommerce brands do not lose growth in one big, dramatic moment. It usually happens quietly. A campaign starts underperforming. A landing page converts a little worse than usual. A customer hits friction and drops off before checkout. Paid acquisition keeps running, but revenue does not grow as it should.

Paid teams look at ROAS, CAC, clicks, and conversions. Retention teams look at loyalty, repeat purchases, referrals, and lifetime value. Both are growing the same business from different tools. This integration closes that gap: Consequential connects acquisition data and returns performance analytics, Nector turns those customers into repeat buyers with loyalty, rewards, referrals, reviews, and VIP tiers.

Connect

Nector calls the Consequential partner Connect API with the merchant's Shopify domain, store name, and email. Consequential resolves or creates the tenant and returns an access token, onboarding status, and a redirect URL.

Onboard

Onboarding status moves through CREATED, ONBOARDING, and ACTIVE. Merchants connect sources such as Shopify, Meta Ads, and Google Ads while Nector tracks progress.

Analyse

Once ACTIVE, Nector pulls acquisition analytics across channels, campaigns, ads, and landing pages. Structured responses, not flat exports.

Browser login flow

  • The browser loads the Consequential login page
  • The access token is exchanged for a session
  • A session cookie is set
  • The user is redirected based on onboarding status

New merchants land in onboarding, active merchants go straight to the dashboard. The browser session lasts 24 hours, after which Nector calls the Connect API again for a fresh redirect URL.

All API calls use a client id and client secret issued by the Consequential team over HTTP Basic Authentication. Store them securely.

Why the workflow matters

Nector starts the merchant journey. Consequential handles onboarding and source connection. Nector tracks progress. Once the merchant becomes active, Nector accesses acquisition analytics across channels, campaigns, ads, and landing pages. It is not just a technical connection between two platforms, it is a cleaner path from merchant setup to acquisition insight with less friction along the way.
